Had an hour of free time and the sun was out, so I braved the bitter January weather and took a short walk at the Schodack Town Park this afternoon. Found an empty parking lot when I arrived with the large snowbanks shining in the afternoon sun.
The extreme cold the last couple of days is quickly refreezing the Moordener Kill.
Very cold water.
There are areas of open water mixed with completely frozen sections.
Headed up the hill into the bare winter woods for a pleasant stroll. Kept a pretty good pace to fend off the elements.
Walking back to the parking lot through the ball fields was an adventure as it was a pure sheet of ice all the way across. I made it a fun trip though and slid much of the way.
