Winter's Last Hurrah?

A major winter storm moved through the area yesterday and this morning, leaving well over a foot of snow in the Adirondacks and a mix of snow and ice for the Capital District.  We received a couple of inches at home on top of a coating of ice, but the major issue this morning was the strong north winds.  The sun was attempting to break through the clouds over the lake, but the clouds were very stubborn.
The bitterly cold winds were kicking up loose snow leading to snow drifts.
A burst of snow came through leaving parking lots and secondary roads tough traveling.
Even after the snow moved out, the drifts left the back roads snow covered in certain areas.
 Blowing snow on Nassau Lake.
Although its nearly mid March, the weather is much more like mid January.
