With temps climbing into the 80's for the first time in about 7 months, it was way too nice of a day to not get outdoors for a bit. I stopped in for a short mile and a half walk at the Lisha Kill Preserve in Niskayuna. The Preserve is located in a small, hidden lot off of Rosendale Road which can be easily missed. A small sign on the south side of the road indicates where you turn.
The Grattan Family Trail is the main trail through the preserve which crosses the Fly Kill here, a tributary of the Lisha Kill.Spring is flourishing along the Lisha Kill.
Even the ducks are out enjoying the weather.
Looping back up through the steep evergreens on the return loop.
Enjoyed the 1.5 mile loop on the Grattan Family Trail on a warm early May day. Unfortunately the bugs were out and annoying, so time to invest in bug spray again.
