Headed into rural Albany County to do a little hike at the 148 acre Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy's Holt Preserve on a hot, summer like afternoon. Got started from the end of Lower Copeland Hill Road under very humid conditions.
In the lower elevations of the preserve, crossing a well crafted foot bridge over a dried up stream bed on the Dr. Holt Trail.
Visited nearly all of the trails at the preserve, including the small but very scenic loop around the pond.
Toby's swimming hole....a tip of the hat to Alan Via.
A brief stop at Helderberg Overlook #1, with a view west.
Hiked a total of about 3 miles total and incredibly had the woods to myself the entire time. I guess the steamy conditions kept folks at bay?
