Phillipin Kill Preserve(Bethlehem, Albany County)

After checking out the brand new Touhey Family Preserve, we decided to pay  a visit to the neighboring 20 acre Phillipin Kill Preserve.  Parking is in a designated location at the Mansions at Delmar off Fisher Boulevard.  Signs point you to a kiosk and yellow blazed trail which drops down into a ravine, with the help of a set of stairs.

Crossing over a small stream.
The Phillipin Kill is a slow moving stream that flows into the Vloman Kill before eventually emptying into the Hudson River.
A red blazed trail forms a loop and is the main trail in the preserve, offering glimpses of the wetland formed by the Phillipin Kill.
The colors are really nice but well ahead of schedule this year.
A small peek at the sprawling wetland that separates this preserve and the Touhey Family Preserve.
A fine day for a stroll in the woods.
Walked about a half mile here, enjoying the peaceful autumn woods.
