Got out for a short walk at the Robert Ingalls Preserve on an extremely hot and humid afternoon today. I found a new trail register and trail map near the entrance of the preserve.
Walked all the trails at the preserve, enjoying the solitude. Paused for a few moments along Black Brook with the sound of thunder off in the distance.
Small cascades on Black Brook.
The trails follow old woods roads as well as newly cut foot paths. It felt a little more comfortable walking under the shade of the evergreens.
Walked a total of about 1.8 miles RT and dipped my head in the brook on the way out for nice, cooling relief.
