Kalli and I took advantage of a day off together by exploring the 129 acre Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy's Winn Preserve. Access is off Street Road in the town of Knox.
Bluebird skies.
We had the preserve to ourselves, taking our time, enjoying the peace.
We wandered the many trails throughout the preserve, including the newish(2015) white marked escarpment trail, where broken views can be had.
The drop off is steep from the trail along this section.
Another screened in view of the nearby countryside.
There are many fissures, some large, so please be extra careful with pets or if leaving the trail.
Wandering the woods.
Early tinge of fall.
Passing by old, moss covered stone walls.
Hiked about 3 miles RT, taking our time to enjoy each other's company as well as the solitude.
